During pregnancy

Pregnancy changes how your body carries itself, and the back, hips and legs usually notice first. Prenatal massage is commonly used to ease that discomfort and to give you an hour of rest.

You’ll be positioned side-lying with a pregnancy pillow and bolsters, or whichever setup you find most comfortable on the day. I have both, and we’ll use whatever works for you. I treat through all three trimesters.

If your pregnancy is being followed closely for any reason, please check with your midwife, doctor or obstetrician before booking, and let me know what they’ve said.

After birth

Postpartum massage is commonly booked for the shoulders, neck and low back, the areas that take the load from feeding, carrying and not much sleep. Clients recovering from a C-section are welcome, and so is your baby: bring them along if that makes the appointment possible.

How long and how much

Session lengths and prices (CAD)

A massage also makes a straightforward gift for someone expecting, or for a new parent. Ask about a gift certificate.
